Talkative Tuesday: The Four Year

Let me be real, this year has been crazy. Like hinging on Britney 2007 kind of crazy… But thankfully I am mentally stable (at least I think I am).

A few weeks ago I started classes at a four year university. For those of you who don’t know, I went to a community college for the first two years of school. It was amazing! I loved every second of it, but I was really to put on my big girl pants and dive into my major courses.

My first day of school pic… yes I was very tired and yes this is a real smile. Thankfully I had a lot of coffee this day…IMG_9465IMG_9066

I am currently a Communications major with a concentration in Pubic Relations and Advertising. TBH I haven’t actually declared my major yet… I have to wait until the end of the semester when I will hopefully have a 3.0 or higher. Apparently you start off with no GPA after you transfer from a community college.

I’m not saying my GPA was bad, but I am glad my Math grades are not reflected in my overall GPA. Regardless, I am at a bigger, new school and I have no clue what is going on. It’s actually amazing. I don’t know too many people. Also, since I am in my major courses, I am surrounded by communication majors… so everyone is talkative and wants to grow their network. Finally, I am not the only one in the room yapping on about internships!

Anyway, the first week I dressed kind of decently so I took a few selfies, you’re welcome I guess.

So far I am really liking it… I am at the University of Texas at Arlington (my moms alma mater) and it is waaayyy better than community college. At least for me.

Stay tuned next Tuesday for the next #TalkativeTueday!

Phantom by: Grace Mclendon

Sunday a close friend of mine, Grace, decided to drench me in flour. Yes, you read right, flour. I washed my hair twice after this series was shot trying to get it all out. And thankfully, Grace is an amazing photographer and made it all worth it. I had such an amazing time shooting this in her childhood treehouse, yes, again you read that right, and hanging out with her and her brother.  HOPE YOU LIKE HOW IT TURNED OUT BECAUSE I LOVE IT!

Finals. That word has somehow ruined my well being for the next week. I managed to get exemptions on my finals (I’m still in High School). Sooo this week should be painless… Orrr so I plan it to be. I have so many shoots planned.. It’s just the time I have is limited. Bummer right? Well, I am going to New Orleans and most likely spending my life savings and then some. So I will have a ton of pictures. Iam trying to figure out a way to visit different movie sets like The Vampire Diaries or the AHS COVEN HOUSE. I’ve seen it before. It’s amazing. Not gonna lie I am very geeky when it comes to things like that and I hide behind my camera, so you may see some mysterious pictures of random buildings that I think were on a tv show. ANYWAYS, the point is I have more things coming at you guys soon.

Thanks for reading!

The added random picture is from Louisiana last year!

Weekend Wanderings

This weekend… I swear to you was so much fun but at the same time so much work.. Saturday morning I had a photo-shoot with Elizabeth, I have shot with her before but never  just with her alone. So, when I tweeted that I needed a model and she graciously replied, of course I wasn’t going to turn her down. She is drop dead gorgeous and has is absolutely hilarious. So I made her get up at 9 a.m. drive to my house and not punch me as I shove a lens in her face telling he she looks angry and to relax. And of course, she was amazing. Sunday I slept in (thankfully) and got up and ready for work. I didn’t do much unless you count binge watching Girlfriends Guide to Divorce (that show is amazing).

But either way… this weekend was lovely.

Weekend Wanderings #3

This weekend… Phew… Saturday I got a new phone and went to work. That just about sums it up. But, Sunday… Sunday was fun. I slept in a bit (thankfully) the got dressed and ready for central market. I love that place whole-heartedly. I used to go all the time when I was little but lately we haven’t had the chance to go as often. Afterwards we made our way through an art store and world market. I basically went to my favorite places in one day. AND didn’t go completely broke.

Weekend Wanderings #1

Stepping through tall, itchy grass while in search for the perfect back drop does not seem like the ideal way to spend my extra Monday, but yet that’s all I could think about! I haven’t had the chance to shoot in what seems like centuries, so I jumped at the opportunity! Madi and Erin are both amazing models and people!! They brought so much to the table with their creativity and their sense of humor was amazing to say the least. We went on a bit of an adventure and wound up in front of a graffiti wall in the middle of no where, then Madi pulled out some smoke bombs and we had a blast. DSC_1637

Chelsey’s Session

I’m back! Some how, I have gotten another shoot under my belt. So… I have another post! I’m trying to start posting consistently but lets face it, I am a High School student with a job and 4 AP classes, this may be rare. Lets just take it one step at a time and start with one post a week.. lets hope it turns out well. I have two people to shoot with for this next week and I am sooo excited!! They are both experimental shoots and I am so pumped! Anyways, back to business. Chelsey is one of my good friends from waaay back. I’m talking Hanna Montana, Jonas Brothers, bangs and glasses way back. Some how, we became friends in 2nd grade (I don’t even know how she was way cooler than I was and still is way cooler) and we have texted a few times since I have moved, but never really hung out since middle school. However, a few weeks ago she texted me wanting to have a shoot, so naturally I said yes! A chance to hang out with an old friend and to shoot at the same time, why not?!  The shoot turned out amazing and I thought I’d show you some of the photos!

Air to Arizona

DSC_0248I recently went on a plane for the first time since I was 10 ( I’m 17 now and I slept through the whole flight when I was 10). So I’m just going to count this as my first official plane trip haha. I did not expect the crowded plane and cramped seats, but looking out the window went above and beyond my expectations. It was awesome. I flew to Arizona to visit family and we went on several trips while here. Including the Grand Canyon and different parks. I’ll have more pictures up soon!!
